Shinesparkers is proud to share an exclusive translation of a page on Smabura-Ken, the official Japanese Super Smash Bros. Melee website that was updated between 2001 and 2002 by Masahiro Sakurai himself. This page mentions the hidden trophies in Melee: Captain Olimar, Mario & Yoshi and Samus Unmasked, which could only be legitimately obtained by having them written onto your Memory Card at Japan-only events. This page, like much of the rest of Smabura-Ken, has never been translated into English until now. Special thanks to Darts for the translation and Vectrex28 for proofreading! 	Secret Trophies

Super Smash Bros. DX actually has 3 trophies which are impossible to obtain through normal gameplay. One of them is “Captain Olimar”.This one is unlocked if you have a save file for Pikmin on your memory card.However, secret trophies that cannot be gotten no matter what you do also exist!(They truly weren’t discovered until after the game released…) The first one is: “Mario & Yoshi”! We attempted to recreate Mario, wearing his yellow cape and riding Yoshi, as he appears in Super Mario World (or Super Mario Advance 2). We usually try to give the models an official Mario look, but for this trophy, we intentionally gave the cape, Mario, and Yoshi a Smash Bros look instead. It makes you think, “I wish we could ride Yoshi like that in this game…”. The second one is: “Samus Unmasked”! This is Samus without her helmet, evoking the ending of Metroid. Everyone probably has their own interpretation of what her face looks like, so allow me to say: don’t expect too much! I mean, she’s not going to look like an anime girl or an idol! Of course, there is no “Samus Undressed”. And no, there is no “Samus Undressing” either. To obtain these trophies, you will need to go to a location which has the distribution software, bring your memory card, and have them added directly to your save file. By doing this, you will receive the 2 secret trophies, as well as the Captain Olimar one. This event isn’t being held anywhere at the moment, however. As soon as there’s a distribution happening, we will let you know on “News Flash Smabura-Ken!!”. Please note: This will directly overwrite your save data, so make sure you keep a copy of your save somewhere!
